Fiberline

One Solution. Simple Architecture.

Because Lasernet can be used for so many tasks, Fiberline can reduce the number of ISVs – and avoid the need for other solutions, such as for labels and EDI.

“We can evolve without having to build something new”

Fiberline has been using Lasernet since the year 2000. Today, the Output Management solution is a cornerstone of the company’s digital structure. “Lasernet makes our architecture simpler and more flexible. That is absolutely essential as we continue to evolve,” says Jan Enevoldsen, who has been part of the entire journey – both on the system side and in production.

Fiberline focuses primarily on the wind and construction industries but remains open and agile toward new sectors and solutions. “For us, flexibility is about being able to add new markets and customers quickly – and with Lasernet, we can expand without having to build something new each time,” says Jan Enevoldsen.

“Without Lasernet and Tabellae, the architecture would have required more servers and products – and more systems to maintain.”

High quality and guidance

Fiberline’s products are market-leading and often specified in projects in advance because they meet the industry’s highest standards. “Customers don’t just get profiles – they also get guidance. We help them make the right choices, and that’s how we win the projects,” says Jan.

Even with increasing competition from Chinese manufacturers, Fiberline remains committed to being an advisory partner. “We say yes to the requirements, we deliver the documentation and the environmental product declarations that are needed – and we do it properly.”

From many systems to one solution

Previously, Fiberline had a number of separate systems:

  • Bartender for labels
  • SharePoint solutions for customers
  • Certificate management and portal uploads

“All of that can now be handled by Lasernet,” says Jan. “We’ve avoided expensive ISV solutions because we can use the same Lasernet license for everything. That makes it both cheaper and simpler.”

Versatility brings concrete benefits

Without Lasernet, Fiberline would not be able to display data in a structured way on invoices. “Some customers have 300 order lines – Lasernet combines them into a single line with detailed information. That creates clarity and satisfied customers.” Lasernet is also used internally as a trigger: when a document is sent, notifications and storage in Azure Blob Storage are generated automatically.

And the benefits continue. “When we built our webshop and e-commerce setup, Lasernet handled invoicing, document storage and printouts from the ERP – all automatically, without us having to develop separate solutions.” EDI and XML invoicing are also built in. “Customers can import our files directly into their ERP. It saves them time – and for us, it means we’re harder to replace,” Jan explains.

When Fiberline established a new unit in Poland, the setup was easy to copy and adjust. “We just added logos, footers and bank accounts – and everything worked,” he says. Without Lasernet, the architecture would have required more servers and more systems. “We’ve gained huge flexibility and fewer systems to maintain. And everything runs incredibly stable.”

A partnership that evolves

“Tabellae knows Lasernet inside out,” says Jan. “They always have good ideas based on experience, and they don’t spend a lot of time searching for solutions. It’s quite common for Kristian from Tabellae to call me and say, ‘Jan, we’re thinking about doing this or that – what do you think?’ It gives us the feeling of being part of the process, and that our experience is valued. We’re listened to – and many of our inputs are actually put into practice.”

He highlights the ERFA groups as a major benefit: “It’s incredibly valuable to see what others are doing. It inspires us to use Lasernet even more intelligently.”
